Auby wanted to know more about his new friends, Peekay and Forna.

“Why are you pink? I thought prawns were grey,” Auby asked Peekay, tilting his head
curiously.

“I can explain,” Peekay said proudly, swimming in little excited circles in the water.
“I was grey,” Peekay said.
“He was grey,” Forna added.
“I changed colour when I was lying in the seaweed and fell asleep in the blazing hot
sunshine. It was awesome! One minute I was grey, the next I was pink!”
Peekay looked
extremely pleased with himself.

Auby couldn’t help but laugh.

“It wasn’t cool, Peekay! You scared me,” Forna told him off.
“You can’t deny it, Forna. I look great in pink,” Peekay said, turning around slowly to show off
his new colour from every angle.

“You were cooking in the sun, you silly prawn. Goodness knows what would have happened
if I hadn’t come along, Peekay,”
Forna replied, shaking her fins.

Forna straightened Peekay’s two pink antennae, which were drooping slightly over his eyes.
Peekay turned his attention to Auby.

“I’ve never seen a blue turtle before. I thought turtles were green… I get so muddled now I’m
pink,”
he said, shaking his head, and his eyes drifted in different directions again.

“Excuse him, Auby. Peekay’s head has been in the sun far too long. I’m sure it fried his little
brain,”
Forna said, gently tapping Peekay again so his eyes lined up properly.

“Welcome to the ocean, Auby,” Forna said warmly. “Come with us.”
She turned and began to lead the way, with Peekay wobbling happily beside her.

“Where are we going?” Auby asked.
“You’ll see,” Forna said excitedly. “It’s wonderful. It’s magical.”
