I created the world of Auby the Blue Turtle to share stories that celebrate what makes each of us unique. Auby is not like the other turtles in the ocean; his brilliant blue shell sets him apart, just as he dreams of adventures that go far beyond the typical path. Through his journey, I wanted to show young readers that our differences are not just things to be accepted, but powerful traits that help us grow, find our own inner strength, and discover our true purpose in the world.
At the heart of these stories is the importance of kindness, friendship, and the courage it takes to protect those we love.
