  • The "Hallucination" risk: AI does not have a "researcher's conscience." It may occasionally cite sources that do not exist or misinterpret the findings of a study. A human writer identifies whether a source is a meta-analysis, a clinical trial, or an opinion piece; AI often treats these as equivalent sources of information.

  • Contextual nuance: My article likely synthesises conflicting data (e.g., balancing studies that show lean mass loss with those that show improved body composition) to provide a nuanced, client-specific perspective. AI struggles to navigate these professional grey areas without explicit, detailed instructions.

  • Brand Voice integration: While AI can mimic a "brand voice" by adjusting tone, it lacks the lived experience and strategic alignment with your client’s specific values. A professional writer understands why a specific piece of data is or isn't relevant to a brand’s unique messaging; AI only understands that the data fits the prompt.

There are also concerns about misuse and safety, as well as psychological risks if individuals believe that losing weight will make them happier, more attractive, more accepted, or more loved, or help them impress others - expectations that are rarely realistic.

You might have looked at them with admiration and been tempted to go down that avenue as well, but with the cost and the unknown future ramifications, alternative weight-loss methods might be more suitable for you. There are a variety of options to help you achieve your goal.

  • Lifestyle and behavioural approaches

Eating a balanced, high-protein, calorie-controlled diet. Regular exercise, especially resistance training, helps preserve muscle. Habit-changing strategies are a good idea, and coaching or therapy might be beneficial for emotional eating
