The old lady, the friend or the once in a lifetime mate?

What is your answer?

The old lady, the friend or the once in a lifetime mate?

Before I offer you some quality, informative and creative information, I present you with a moral and ethical dilemma.

You’re driving down a lonely dark road on a cold and stormy night, when you drive pass a bus stop and see three people waiting for the bus:

  1. An old lady who looks like she’s about to die.

  2. An old friend who once saved your life.

  3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car?

You could pick the old lady, because she is going to die and you could save her first. Or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life. However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again so perhaps you should pick that person.

So what is your answer? The old lady, the friend or the once in a lifetime mate?

Here is the winning answer…

I would give my car keys to my old friend and have him take the old lady to the hospital and I would wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams.

This is a perfect example of 'thinking outside of the box', outside of our usual patterns, outside of what we see others doing, outside of our preconceived limitations.

And that's what solid and effective marketing is all about. It is about creating a comprehensive marketing scenario where everyone involved...you, your customers, your prospects, your readers of your emails, your Facebook fans, your website visitors etc... win something.

Thinking outside of the box, creative marketing and content...

Creative marketing positions a company, product or service squarely in the prospect’s mind, clearly and dramatically communicating unique features and benefits or primary interest to the specifier or buyer.

Potential customers are carrying out much greater amounts of research before engaging in face to face buying, more than 88% of B2B transactions begin with an internet search.

So, Content is King and Creative is Queen! However, Let’s be honest, it can be challenging to be really different and appealing to a customer. It’s a noisy landscape out there and it can be difficult to establish brand awareness.

Content creation ranked as the single most effective SEO tactic by a lot of companies. This confirms that good quality, creative content is key and content marketing is taking over the marketing industry.

Good creative content can develop great propositions and causes a customer to recognise the value of its message.
